Turquoise appoints Keith Wells as Group MD

Posted: February 12, 2009

International brand agency Turquoise has appointed Keith Wells to the newly-created role of Group Managing Director, as a key element in the plan which the company says is “taking us to the next level”.

Previously a partner at Dragon, where he led the corporate & service brands team, Wells says he “jumped at the chance” to take this role. “I’d seen Turquoise, both as a competitor and a collaborator, and loved the clarity of thinking and creative work. As a business, it’s grown incredibly quickly and smartly, by taking UK and sector expertise into emerging markets right across the world. There’s a real sense of ambition and I want to play a part in realising that – particularly when so many people are looking in the other direction.”

Sharon Wheeler, CEO at Turquoise, added: “This was a tough role to fill, and it took us a long time to find the mix of strategic knowledge and ambition that Keith has. We have a clear plan of where we want Turquoise to be, and Keith’s leadership of the senior management team and the business as a whole is going to be critical to our achieving the potential for ourselves and our clients.”

Turquoise launched in the UK in 2004 and opened its Dubai office in 2006. As a brand agency, it offers the full range of consulting and creative skills to its clients, and has built particularly strong reputation in broadcast, telecoms and property. Its clients include Claro (Brazil) du (Dubai) Saudi Telecom, Saudi TV, Nakheel, Sama Dubai and SAGIA.
