See YouView In The New Year

UK-based Telecoms and Broadband provider TalkTalk will conduct in-house trials of Freeview Video On Demand platform YouView, formerly Project Canvas, in early 2012.
TalkTalk is planning a soft launch for the new service in the form of a ‘friends and family’ trial early next year, giving 3,000 YouView set-top boxes to staff and 10,000 to customers in order to gain insight into the customer experience ahead of the hard launch, aimed at Freeview’s 8 million-strong customer base, later in the year.
Considering Sir Alan Sugar sacked the entire internal public relations and marketing team in October, we’re very interested to see how the marketing proposition develops around the new service.
