CLIENT: Maltacom
PROJECT: Brand Identity
Maltacom, Maltanet, Multiplus and GO Mobile merged in 2007 to create a quad-play telecoms service provider.
We were tasked with developing their new brand identity, marketing and brand strategy and retail development.
The new GO brand needed to overcome any negative brand associations, left over from the previously state-run telcos, and express a sense of optimism and inspire new customers to join them.
We agreed that it had to be distinct in its look and feel from any other brands. We had to devise an approach that would improve upon and enhance their existing image to provide a solid foundation for future growth.
We created a vibrant orange brand marque that would work with a range of inhabiting properties, reflecting the range of GO’s offer and their ambitions as a brand.
For the launch we created a range of materials including brochures and top-up cards and worked with GO’s local ad agency in developing their advertising. We also collaborated with a retail partner to refurbish their existing stores and develop the new GO flagship store.
Less than a year after launch, GO had exclipsed rival Vodafone in the Maltese market and with only a fraction of the ad spend.
Our work in creating the GO brand was recognised with a Design Week Benchmarks Award in 2007.
