As we say on our videos page by next year, analysts predict that 93% of all traffic on the web will be video content.

To demonstrate the enormity of what this means, the Google Data Arts team have created a website called onehourpersecond.com that nimbly demonstrates through the winning combination of animating cute illustrations with mindblowing statistics to show how their YouTube user-generated content stats stack up.

What this brilliant site does for me is highlight how we are all total media junkies and it makes me wonder whether we will be able to sustain this level of video consumption in the future.
