Google TV Heading For UK

Google have announced that Google TV will launch in the UK this July.

The Google TV rollout is timed to coincide with the launch of the Sony NSZ-GS7 Internet Media Player, a set-top box that will deliver Android apps, web browsing and live-streaming video.

An early review of the revamped Google TV service has praised its combination of live tv and web-browsing but expressed reservations about the Google software’s ability to deliver a consistently enjoyable viewer experience.

With more companies now actively working to integrate IPTV services into their television offer, not to mention Apple TV, Google are definitely go to have to bring their ‘A’ Game if it’s going to make a strong enough first impression in the UK to plant a solid flag in the emerging IPTV market.
