We worked with fun-loving mobile games brand Viker to develop a new visual identity that captured their playful approach and inclusive culture.
Viker creates free mass-market mobile games. They launched in 2017 with the simple goal to make mobile games for the world to play and love.
Viker do things differently. They believe that work should be fun, encouraging their people to leave their egos at home, share ideas freely and work together in the face of a challenge. They needed a new visual identity that would express their unique ethos and vibrant personality.
The logotype was inspired by the concept the fun starts here. We used the ‘V’ as an arrow that’s crash-landed with maximum impact, reflecting the explosion of ideas and creativity that Viker creates. This sense of high energy is woven through every aspect of the identity.
A bold colour palette and chunky typeface mimic the on-screen aesthetic, illustrated brand icons help tell the brand story and playful brushstrokes that highlight a love of creativity and ideas.
We worked with the client to develop an agreed photographic style, which was road-tested on a photoshoot with the Viker team. The new brand was rolled out across website, social media templates, merchandise, logo animation and stationery. The result is an identity that perfectly captures the vibrance, energy and joy of this playful brand and its games.
